Process characteristics of rotational molding

Release Time:2019-09-20 06:40:18
Rotational molding, also known as rotational molding, rotational molding, or rotational molding, is a hollow forming method for thermoplastic materials. Below, the editor will share with you the characteristics of rotational molding technology.

1. The mold is simple and cost-effective, suitable for forming large plastic products. The injection, blow molding and Thermoforming molds commonly used for plastic products are simple in structure, convenient in processing, short in production cycle and low in cost because they need to withstand high pressure and do not need high strength. Because of this, rotational molding can shape plastic products with large volumes.

2. Suitable for forming products with complex shapes. Many complex products that are difficult to form or cannot be demolded by other processes, such as products with concave convex wall structures, double-layer wall structures, and other special configurations, can be formed using the rotational molding process.

3. Suitable for the production of multiple types of plastic products. Because the mold is simple, it is very convenient to replace the product. In addition, one device can install either a large mold or multiple small molds. And it can run multiple sets of molds of different sizes and shapes simultaneously. So the rotational molding process has greater flexibility compared to other molding methods.

4. The wall thickness of the product is uniform and seamless. Compared with blow molding and Thermoforming processes, the wall thickness of rotomolding products is uniform. Due to integrated molding, there is no fusion line for the product.

5. Save raw materials. Each time the raw material is directly added to the mold for rotational molding, and after the molding is completed, the product is taken out and the next required raw material is added. Therefore, there is no waste at the runner, gate, etc. In addition, when changing the variety or color of the product, it does not waste raw materials, nor does it require time to clean the machine and mold.

6. The product has no residual stress and is not prone to deformation. During the rotational molding process, the molten material is subjected to tensile stress, shear stress, and compressive stress, so the product has almost no internal stress.

The above is a brief introduction of the characteristics of the rotational molding process by the editor, and our company has always adhered to the principle of "; Survive with quality, develop with reputation" Our corporate spirit is to stay in the mall. We continuously improve product quality and service quality, constantly satisfy the needs of our customers, and work together with them to work together and sincerely cooperate, striving for a structured society and achieving a win-win situation for all parties!
